Ian Wilson 


Ian Wilson was born in 1945 and studied law at College of Law, Guildford, before joining Thomas Eggar (then Verralls) in Worthing where he was admitted as a solicitor in 1969. He is one of the founding partners in Dean Wilson Laing, a firm specialising in Dispute Resolution.

At Dean Wilson Laing, he specialises in employment law, personal injury and professional negligence.

Ian has represented employee and employer clients on a number of high profile cases including up to the House of Lords.

Ian is a Senior Litigator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel.

For nine years Ian was an Employment Tribunal Chairman and before that was a Chairman of the Social Security Tribunals.

In 1997 Ian was appointed a Recorder of the Crown Court and in the same year was made a Higher Courts Advocate in Criminal and Civil cases.

Outside the law, Ian's interests are in cricket and squash and he holds a glider pilot's licence.
