Grant Goodlad was born in 1957 and became a solicitor in 1981. He was a partner at Dennis Faulkner & Alsop (now dfalaw), between 1983 and 2006. In 2006 Grant was called to the Bar. Grant's background involves both commercial and contentious aspects of the law. His experience includes the handling of high volume personal injury claims and professional negligence claims for insurance companies. More recently he has concentrated on contentious commercial and professional issues primarily clinical negligence and employment matters. He has specialised in handling personal injury claims, both acting for Claimants and for insurance companies defending negligence claims under PI policies. He is also experienced in handling clinical negligence claims, as well as employment. Grant has mediated, or taken to mediation, disputes in a wide range of fields including Construction, Commercial Contracts, Corporate Sale, Personal Injury, Professional Negligence, Insurance, Travel, Property and Housing. Grant acts as an advocate in the Civil Courts and in Employment Tribunals and is an active member of a number of local legal groupings, serving on a number of committees. He became a CEDR Accredited Mediator in 1996 and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2004. Grant is a faculty member of the Institute's mediation training course.
