In contrast this building now houses the Somerset County Museum. A Roman mosaic from a villa in Low Ham depicts the love story of Dido and Aeneas is a star attraction. A fine example of Gertrude Jekyll eye for colours used in herbaceous borders produced one of her greatest masterpieces and along with Sir Edwin Lutyens created the Hestercombe Gardens in this county.
