England's green and pleasant land welcomes visitors from around the world. The choice of accommodation is yours whether it is Bed and Breakfast, a five star hotel, a caravan or holiday park, what about a canal boat or a cottage in the country. Whatever is chosen county the diversity of England is for all to savour.

Torquay, Paignton and Brixham in the sheltered Torbay on the east coast of Devon and known as the English Riviera has beautiful golden sands wafting Palm Trees and interesting coastline to explore. On the west side Bude and Bideford seaside towns face the Atlantic and a completely different atmosphere. Dartmoor in between offers wild moor land and forest and an air of mystery no doubt generated by writer Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame 'The Hounds of the Baskervilles'.

Tea shops throughout Devon are famous for the tea, scones and cream which they offer with West Country friendliness.

The re-generated city of Plymouth has natural beauty and rich heritage. Discover in the Barbican the long history and maritime treasure in the now stylish café bars and restaurants in the area. Visit the Mayflower Visitor Centre and experience the life and time of Drake and Raleigh along with the more recent war experiences of the World War II when Plymouth was badly damaged. Smell the fresh sea air or take boat trip into the Sound.

There are interesting bays around the coastline and not to be missed in July is the Naval Port of Dartmouth especially on Regatta Day. On normal days why not take a boat ride along the river from the sea to Totnes and return by train.
